Life's Milestones

Last year, we had the privilege of having a young woman stay with us for several months, while her parents were living out of town.  Ashley was a junior in high school and needed to stay in the area so she could attend her classes and continue working at her part-time job.

We hadn't had a teenager living in our home for awhile so we weren't sure what to expect.  But Ashley was a model houseguest and soon became part of our family.  It was probably harder on her having to adjust to living with us old folks, but she seemed to adapt rather quickly!

A couple of weeks ago, Ashley graduated from high school so it was now time to celebrate!  Her parents had just purchased a new home and weren't moved in yet, so I suggested that they have her Open House here.  So this past Saturday, we welcomed into our home 80 - 100 of their friends and family.

Thank goodness for friends who can make beautiful AND delicious cakes to help with our celebration.  Janice Waugh you outdid yourself and everything was amazing!!

We want to wish Ashley the best of luck as she begins a new chapter in her life.  We are so glad that she is a Christ-follower and we are excited to see what God has in store for her!
